However, my role as a consistent provider of emergency nursing continuing education has never floundered and since 2007, I am currently “back in the saddle again” as an ED staff nurse. My interest in serving as a board member is based on the desire to be more actively involved in our organization at the state level, including direct contribution to our strategic plan. For the next four years I will be working closely with some of our local legislators to help reform health care. I would like a chance to become a board member to help make a difference, to take my words, thoughts and ideas and turn them in to an intervention to make change.
